Bilinski’s Sausage Mfg Co is looking for a Quality and Food Safety Manager at our busy food manufacturing plant.

Required: HACCP Certification, BA/BS degree, food industry experience, SQF/GFSI audit lead experience.

Preferred by not required: Meat industry experience.

The person who joins our quality department will lead our quality effort and will:

* Maintain all policies and procedures for our food safety systems, including HACCP and SQF (Safe Quality Food)

* Continuously maintain preparedness for SQF and other compliance audits and inspections

* Oversee and conduct pre-shipment reviews for all products, along with sensory evaluations

* Conduct internal audits

* Prepare for and conduct all external audits (SQF, FDA, USDA, Organic program, etc); liaise with external auditors during the audit process

* Ensure products & ingredients meet written specifications

* Ensure compliance with GMPs and sanitation programs

* All other QA and compliance duties required

* Oversee the quality team (2-3 direct reports)

* Work with Plant manager and supervisors to ensure quality in processing at all times.

This position is approximately 70% administrative and 30% on the production floor conducting audits and inspections. This is an on-site position at 41 Lark Street, Cohoes, NY 12047. Plant operations are M-Sat 6am-4pm, position hours vary based on assigned shift.

Salary: $115,000 annually
